International Wireless Solutions Aligns with LightPointe Communications, Inc. to Expand Sales Opportunities Internationally

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (October 25, 2006): International Wireless Solutions, a services company specializing in the 100Mbps to 1.485Gbps point-to-point outdoor wireless market, today announced that it has signed a strategic alliance with LightPointe Communications, Inc. The alliance brings together LightPointe’s optical wireless products, including the FlightLite™ and FlightStrata™ with International Wireless Solutions’ extensive experience with short-distance, high-availability outdoor wireless solutions.

“We are really excited about this alliance with International Wireless Solutions,” said Dr. Cathal OScolai, LightPointe’s general manager and former managing director of LightPointe’s European operations. “The relationship offers our customers with a solution and not just a Optical Wireless product.” Optical Wireless or Free Space Optics (FSO) is the term given to products produced by LightPointe Communications since the company was started in 1998 in Boulder, Colorado. Operating them does not require a license by the Federal Communications Commission. The company is now marketing, selling and distributing products from its worldwide headquarters in San Diego, California following a reorganization earlier this year.

International Wireless Solutions will begin offering LightPointe’s FlightLite™ 100 and 100E from its website (www.internationalwirelesssolutions.com) effective immediately. The two companies will share technical resources to provide its customers with the ideal solution based upon requirements, budget and expectations. This solution will include deployment, testing and ongoing support.

LightPointe’s Executive Vice President, Sales and Business Development, Mr. P. Alexander van Dillen added that, “in addition to our market leadership position in Free Space Optics we can now offer our customers with 5.8 GHz, 60 GHz and 70 GHz, Microwave RF and Millimeter Wave products without walking away from an opportunity.
