Overview



LightPointe Communications, Inc. is committed to strengthening the sales channel and will continue to provide end-users with the best sales and support network in the Optical Wireless industry. The LightPointe Channel Partner Program offers different tiers created to fit a particular type of business. Each Tier is designed with LightPointe customers in mind, which will allow Partners to build on investments and obtain new capabilities to capture share in the Optical Wireless Market. Each Channel Partner will report either directly to LightPointe Communications or to an appointed Value Added Distributor in their territory.

LightPointe Value Added Distributor
LightPointe has a network of Value Added Distributors strategically aligned throughout the world. This tier constitutes the highest level of Partnership with LightPointe. Value Added Distributors (VAD’s) use their already-established network of Value Added Resellers (VARs) to sell to end-users within their territory.

LightPointe Registered Partner
LightPointe Certified Partners are the highest level of Partners selling direct to the end-user. Certified Partners have sent at least 1 person to an Authorized LightPointe certification course. These training sessions can either be on-site at your location (minimum 5 people) or at the LightPointe training facility in San Diego, California. There may be a nominal fee taken on a case-by-case basis.

All companies who wish to sell LightPointe products must be a Registered Partner. This is the simplest form of the LightPointe Channel program and is perfect for those companies looking to sell LightPointe without a commitment toward LightPointe.

LightPointe Certified Partner
LightPointe recognizes that business relationships are a key component to building a successful Channel Partner program. With that in mind, LightPointe is introducing the Strategic Partnership – new for 2007. This level of Partnership is ideal for companies not necessarily directly involved in the optical wireless industry but would like to pass on a significant discount to their partners. Of course, there may be occasions where they decide to leverage the discount for themselves and that is perfectly acceptable as well.

LightPointe Certified Partner
LightPointe Manufacturer Representatives directly represent LightPointe in a pre-determined region. Manufacturer Representatives must have a clear understanding of the Optical Wireless market and more specifically, LightPointe products and applications. Manufacturer Representatives are encouraged to work with all of the Channel Partner Tiers to apply their knowledge and expertise toward winning business.
