Lorian Sanders

Lorian Sanders has served LightPointe in a finance and management capacity since 2001, and has over 26 years experience in accounting, finance, operations, and human resources in both the public and private sectors. Lorian's previous positions held at LightPointe were General Manager, Vice President of Finance, and most recently COO. Lorian was instrumental in significantly increasing quality, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and improving operations processes. Lorian's dedication and enthusiasm have been a source of inspiration to LightPointe partners, customers, and employees.

Brian Petersil

Director of Customer Service and Sales Support
Brian Petersil has been a member of the LightPointe team since January 2001. During this time he has held numerous positions including Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Marketing, Strategic Account Manager, and Director of Customer Support. He is well versed in all aspects of LightPointe's products and is a valuable member of the team. Prior to joining LightPointe Brian worked for Sprint as a Senior Sales Representative and for the Dixon Ticonderoga Company as the Western Regional Manager. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Business / Economics.

Jeff Majeski

Sales Manager, North, Central, & South America

Jeff joined LightPointe in January of 2015, working hand-in-hand with John Taylor, LightPointe's long-time vice president of sales for 18 years. During this time, Jeff was responsible for channel development in the USA. Jeff is now responsible for Sales for all of the Americas. He is based out of Houston, Texas. Previously, he held business development positions with Choice Energy, TXU Energy, Reliant Energy, Qwest Communications, and Airband Communications. He holds an MBA from the University of Houston and BA from Texas A&M University.

Jeff Rivard

Director of Engineering

Jeff Rivard joined LightPointe in November of 2014, after fourteen years with a competing radio manufacturer, where he spearheaded base station design, consumer premise equipment (CPE) products, and design of point-to-point and multipoint products. He has over twenty years experience in hardware and electrical engineering. Jeff graduated from the University of Montreal in RF/Microwave Engineering and Communications Systems (MSEE and BSEE). He has led the design of numerous products (e.g., MMIC based Ku-Band LNA hybrid modules, 950-1500 MHz QPSK demodulators, 2.4 GHz radios, 3.5 GHz radios, 5.8 GHz radios, 70/80 GHz E-Band radios, base stations, and other point-to-point and point-to-multipoint backhaul solutions). Jeff has also spearheaded the regulatory and testing processes for various products, ensuring that standards are met and that quality meets or exceeds customer requirements. On occasions, Jeff is called on to assist with customers in French-speaking countries, as French is his native language.

Brian Schick

Director of Hardware Engineering
Brian Schick serves as Director of Operations and also helps guide mechanical design and product integration/testing. A passionate inventor, Mr. Schick holds 37 key patents and brings to LightPointe a unique ability to envision new products and features. Mr. Schick has 29 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing with industry-leading electronics corporations and, thanks to his Six-Sigma Black Belt/quality background, guides LightPointe in maintaining the quality and documentation processes essential for optimum reliability of optical wireless, radio frequency and hybrid FSO-RF products. He joined LightPointe in 2005, and has a Masters degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Utah.

​Heinz Willebrand 
Non-Executive Chairman of the Board

Dr. Heinz A. Willebrand is widely regarded as being among key driving visionary forces behind the Free-Space Optics (FSO) and wireless bridges movement, and is an inductee into EE Times list of "Forty Innovators Building the Foundation of the Next-Gen Electronics Industry." Well known and recognized for his contributions to the advancement of FSO, Heinz regularly speaks at national and international conferences on technical and business related aspects of FSO and Millimeter-Wave (MMW) technology. Heinz founded LightPointe in 1998 and after the company was sold to Berg & Berg, LLC in 2006, he co-founded Rayawave, a designer and innovator in the millimeter-wave systems communications space. After the LightPointe/Rayawave merger he became the Chief Executive Officer of the combined company until December 31st, 2018. Heinz obtained his Ph.D in Applied Physics at the University of Muenster/Germany and has held research and teaching positions with the University of Muenster and the University of Colorado in Boulder. He holds more than 10 national and international patents on fiber-optics and wireless technologies. Heinz has published more than 70 articles in technology and business journals and co-authored the book, "Free-Space Optics: Enabling Optical Connectivity in Today's Networks," the first comprehensive body of work that explores the physics and development of FSO and examines the technology's applications for public and private telecommunications networks.
